Do you have any photos of Leyland Double Ended railmotors in service?

The Daylesford Spa Country Railway is looking for images of the 4 double ended Leyland railmotors in service between 1925 - 1954. This is to assist in the production of a scoping document for the potential of returning the last remaining example, 53RM, to an operable condition.

Four of these railmotors were introduced in 1925-26, numbered 51 to 54RM. They spent most of their service lives at Whittlesea, Tallangatta, Cohuna and Echuca with some trips to Mansfield and Maffra. With the introduction of the Walker railcars in 1947, the Leylands were slowly withdrawn with 52 and 53 lasting until July 1954.

If you have any photographs of these railmotors in Victorian Railways service, please email dscr@internode.on.net.
